I Believe…
As human beings (and I’ll assume that’s what you are if you’re reading this blog) what we believe shapes our world. As a marketing consultant, what I believe is a big part of the overall picture that I bring to my clients. So I thought I’d re-run a previous blog post (from Sept. 2012) that covers this area for me. With that in mind, I, Scott Robertson, of semi-sound mind and body believe in: 1. The Father, Son and Holy Spirit — life without faith is empty. nike air max pas cher 2. Love and Family — I was lucky enough to marry my high school sweetheart almost 20 years ago and every day I discover something new to love about her and my two wonderful kids. adidas superstar 2 soldes 3. Being early for every meeting, event or appointment — I respect people’s time without exception. 4. Personal responsibility — come what may. nike air max pas cher What happens in my life is no one else’s fault or responsibility. nike air max 97 It’s mine alone. 5. Not answering my phone when someone is in my office — I was always taught that the human being in front of you is most important. I also do not automatically answer the phone just because it’s ringing. I choose to under my own terms. 6. adidas original Less government — I am not a fan. They spend trillions and cause way more problems than they solve. I’m with the Founding Fathers in their mistrust and dislike of government. If that makes me a Libertarian, so be it. 7. Great live music — there is nothing like a good live band. I play in a bar band and I hope that we’re pretty good most nights. Music fuels me, drives me and inspires me. 8. Fall football games — football is unique among sports and is the greatest thing you can watch, although Fantasy Football is maddening at times. 9. That our attitude shapes the world around us and determines the course of our lives — Everything we take in is filtered through that prism. If the prism says the world is good, then it is. Unfortunately, the opposite is also true. 10. That consumer confidence and spending are the only things about our economy that really matter. When we’re confident and spending money, our economy flourishes. ugg australia Unfortunately, the opposite is also true. 11. Not messing with the supernatural — There are many things in this world that are beyond our understanding and I make it policy to leave those things alone. 12. The idea that “can’t” is a curse word and I never, ever use it because I don’t want my mind to hear me say it. 13. Humor — without it, life just wouldn’t be that funny. bottes ugg pas cher 14. The next challenge — Once I beat a video game on the hardest level, I rarely play it again. adidas ultra boost nike dunk It’s the challenge that drives me and the more difficult the better. What else is there? 15. Not taking life too seriously. After all, none of us are getting out alive. And I believe in doing great communications work for my clients and helping them achieve their business goals and dreams.
